Tonight was a hoot we went to one town over to Chaweng where we saw an Elvis Impersonation....What a great show, there was a German TV crew filming the whole thing, and we were up front so we'll be on TV in Germany...Elvis's real name is Richie Newton, and he is from Germany and has been doing Elvis impersonations for over ten years....This man could sing just like him, and had true charm!...What a voice!
We went with our new friend Ruth and her friend Careena. Ruth is a healer and here is a quick link to her website and she does EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques, retreats, energy massage, crystal healing, and so many to mention so here is her website Ruth EEdy Ruth is a wonderful person and a loving energy worker along with all her gifts to bring healing and empowerment to women.
Careena did the driving and she was great! However I just can't seem to release the fear I have here in a car...lol...it's all good!...So I have made Ken promise me no driving here period!...we're better off hitching a ride with Careena or a taxi that way we're with experienced drivers...At night is so much worse, as there are more motorcycles then cars, and at night you just can't tell if it's a car or a bike, and the way they weave in and out of your lanes puts me in a panic mode....it's all good!
I would not want to be a dog in Thailand that is for sure, they roam the streets and are just so unloved...they do not pamper their dogs as we do in America...In the photos today you'll see the only breed we see here along with Pugs....I can't wait to see my babies, I got a letter from Clarissa my dog sitter and breeder of the most beautiful Chihuahua's telling me how great Yoda and Honey Bunny are doing...From what she told me Honey Bunny has fallen in love with one of the little males there...I swear I leave town for one month and she falls in love...lol...it's all good!
Yoda I have been told is eating dog food! she only eats chicken for me that spoiled little baby has me wrapped around you manicured little paws!...lol
Yesterday Ken learned how to husk a coconut with a knife...not easy! but a great treat!...as we were racking and cleaning up the beach I kept saying to Ken watch out for coconuts because they fall off the tree and would kill him, as we finished and we're just setting looking at how great the beach looked and a coconut fell off the tree right where he had just stood!...it's all good!
Have I mentioned the food here? OMG out of this world, everywhere you go you smell garlic and all the Thai spices...Cooking here is a great part of their culture, everywhere there is a mom and pop place hole in the wall place with fantastic food! as an example there was a lady (very old lady) walking the street with a rack she carried across her back with two baskets, one on each end, and one side had a little stove and the other side had the food all cut and ready to cook on order, with all the veggies, and we complain about our kitchens not being big enough...lol It should put my Aunite
to shame as she lays home all day and complains about her life...I want her here to see what real hard work at that age looks like and she will be grateful for her life...it's all good...bye for now, home in just ten days.....
